Some small Bull Terrier anecdotes

One day as I was out walking our white Bull Terrier, a 10 year old boy on a bicycle drove up by our side. He followed us for some distance, watching the bully with great interest. It was obvious he had never seen one like this before. After some studying he asked: “Is that dog of a Chinese breed”?.

During one of my daily walks with a white Bull Terrier, I heard a boy´s clear, loud voice behind me, “See that strangelooking dog”. As I turned around I saw a mother with her forefinger to her mouth, and an perplexed expression in her face, trying to calm down her little, tactless son. That poor mother was so embarrassed that she probably wanted to disappear in a hole in the ground.

If you can´t get the one you love, love the one you get.

Once I met a very old gentleman who stopped us and said: “That is a very special dog you have”.
“Yes”, I answered, “the breed is quite rare, but it is a very sweet and kind breed, and we are very pleased with this young dog”. The man smiled friendly and said with a consolatary voice: “Once you get used to his looks, you will certainly learn to love him, and when you love him you might even think he looks pretty!”

Am I Chinese?? That is the worst I have heard... Me, who is of English heritage! And my eyes are triangular, not almond shaped!
