Boxer

Our first boxer, Lita, was born in 1957. She was just a pet, but introduced us to this faboulus breed. In 1966 we bought a new puppy, Vicks Della Street, whos parents came from Wardrobes in England. Then started the interest for activeties and participation in the Boxer Club where I served in many positions of trust.

In 1993 we bought our first Bull Terrier, Rhinestone, a Giancana son. Since then we only had a few boxerlitters. At the moment there are only two boxers here, the littersisters Formula Baton Rouge and her sister Formula China who is white. They were born Jan. 8, 2004.

Sire: Ch. Faerdorn For the Future
Owner Sjur Hall
Dam: Formula Highlight
Granddaughter of Ch Mephistos High Noon
We started breeding in 1969. Our first litter was out of Della and Ch. Cavajes Adrastos, a Wardrobes Red Beret son. Formula Lola was one of the results of this breeding, and she has been a foundation in our breeding program. As a showdog she was outstanding. In 1971 she became Best in Show twice within 8 days. Our breeding was very sucsessful, we became “Breeders of the Year” 7 times.

Our breeding program has been based English and American bloodlines. We have imported boxers from England and America.. One of the dogs that we are very proud of is Int. Norw. Fin. Ch. Norw. Swe. Ob. Ch. Formula Miller, whos father was the famous Canadian born Ch. Mephistos High Noon, and mother, Formula Merlyn, a daughter of American bred My-R’s Side Car and Ch Formula Lola. Millers granddaughter, Ch. Doll Announces Veni Vidi Vici was exported to Mephistos Kennel in Canada where he became a top studdog as sire of more than 40 Champions.

We have been at the American Boxerclubs Shows many times and been fascinated over the American type Boxer. (Many will state there are only one type of Boxers, to them I will recommend to see an optician). The American Boxer is elegant with a good head, a long well arched neck and well angulated quarters. Their temperament is superb. We have seen 40-50 grown dogs standing close to each other in the ballroom of a hotel, without trying to growl at each other!

Our first American import was Can. Am Ch. Mephistos Intermezzo,. We bought him in partnership with Jorun Maeland.
Intermezzo (“Happy”) was o son of the legendary Ch. Millans Fashion Hint, the leading stud in Canada all breeds, His mother Can. Ch. Sher-Khouns Autumn Concerto was the dam of several Champions, amongst them, Mephistos grand studdog Ch. Mephistos Vendetta.

Intermezzo was a very successful stud. He produced a number of Champions and laid the foundation of Kennel Laruns breeding program. They became “Breeder of the Year” 10 times.

Intermezzo became “Stud of the Year” in 1980-1981 and 1982.

Qur next import was Am Ch, Merrilanes Salute To April (“Paris”). He became reserve Winners Dog at the ABC. Due to having cropped ears, we were not allowed to show him in Norway, but in Sweden we could!!! There he won the price for beeing the highjest winning boxer at the Swedish Kennel Clubs shows during the year of -83 (Ch. Wedge Hollows Sams Songs memorial trophy)

“Paris” had the most perfect head I have ever seen.

On the photo he is Wedge Hollows Sams Sons memorial trophy.
Our first meeting with "Eli" in 1998. He was placed in the class for judge Billy McFadden.
Handler is Lou-Ann Tibbitts-Ridings
Our last American import was 6 months old Cachet’s Encore of Mannix (“Eli”). I fell for him when I met him at the ABC in Maryland 1998. He had a beatyful chisseled head, a long arched neck, short body and was well angulated. His pedigree included stars as Ch. Turo´s Futurian of Cachet and Ch. Turo’s Cachet. In other words a very interesting dog for our breeding,

Due to strict import regulations from the US, I had him sent to a friend living in Denmark, where the stayed for 6 months before he could travel to Norway according to the rules in 1998.
In order to avoid four months in quarantene in Norway, Eli was sent to Constantino Navas, a well known Bull Terrier entusiast in Copenhagen.

Here he lived in his private home for six months before he travelled to Norway.

Unfortunatly he had a major outburst of demodex during the stay in Denmark. He looked awfull, the head was swollen and the coat disappeared.

He got a very good treatment, but his days as a stud was over before they began. In Norway he was treated with strong drugs, which eventually weakened him, and he died at the age of 5.
